NASA STUDIES COOLING ON MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

For several years LET has played a vital role in managing heat symptoms of numerous Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients. Neurologists and MS clinics worldwide have used the ISOPRO™ Personal Cooling System. It was only natural that when NASA decided to do a study of cooling on Multiple Sclerosis, they chose ISOPRO™. After reviewing many cooling products available to the market today, LET was honored by NASA when we were "exclusively selected and tested" as the only cooling system used to participate in studies done in the summer of 1999. Studies involved over 100 MS patients and were conducted at NASA Ames Research Center, Rocky Mountain MS Center, University of Washington-Seattle, University of Rochester and Mid-South Regional MSAA. The result of this major NASA study is expected to be published in 2001. An earlier NASA study presented in 1998 compared three commercially available cooling systems including the LET Head-Vest Garment and Personal Cooling System. The Study concluded that the LET
system was the most effective.
