Applications

To meet individual needs, we offer two types of cooling technology: passive and active. Passive products work well in a moderate temperature environment where short-term cooling is needed. Cooling is provided through the use of re-usable ice packs and recharged in a freezer. Active products are a highly efficient way to provide controlled conductive cooling when in a harsh, hot environment or longer duration is needed. LET does this through the use of
Flexitherm™.
Flexitherm™ is a proprietary liquid heat transfer system made of a thin, flexible, conductive material, which transports fluid to provide direct conductive cooling. Through the use of Flexitherm™ panels, LET is able to provide cooling to almost anything it can wrap or cover. Our versatile Flexitherm™ panels can provide cooling to a wide variety of applications.
- Medical research is constantly looking for improved ways of applying cooling for numerous medical conditions.
- Sports wraps to injured areas provide direct conductive cooling without the mess of ice.
- Military personnel have worn cooling garments under their protective clothing and LET has worked with the Army to provide cooling to the inside of tanks.
- Industrial uses include any warm environment where heat stress is a hazard and has been proven to increase work output.
- Automotive uses not only can provide cooling to vehicle occupants but cooling to electronics and used to reduce auxiliary loads while improving fuel efficiency.
Isopro™ Portable Personal
Cooling System

The Isopro™ Portable Personal Cooling System (PCS) is an ideal solution for long-term cooling duration. A
Flexitherm™ head/vest garment is worn and plugged into the cooling source. An AC power adaptor or "D" size batteries powers the PCS. By adding water and ice the PCS is ready to go and can be easily adjusted to provide an effective and comfortable range of temperatures.
The PCS is portable, easy to operate and has been used in a variety of environments. Individuals exposed to harsh, warm environments face many potential health risks. The Isopro™ PCS has been clinically tested and proven highly effective at keeping individuals cooler longer and reducing physical and mental fatigue due to heat stress. Some examples of users have been military personnel, nuclear power stations, bomb and HAZMAT disposal teams, and professional racecar drivers. LET's technology has also out performed competitors in the medical industry. Patients with multiple sclerosis, peripheral neuropathy, hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, and other heat related illnesses have found noticeable heat relief through the use of the PCS.
Isopro™ Mark I Cooling Console System
Designed with clinical applications in mind, the Mark I Cooling Console features the highest level of cooling efficiency. The Mark I has been used worldwide by surgical personnel in high operating room temperatures, physical therapists and rehabilitation clinics. Models available can accommodate single or dual users. This makes the Mark I convenient to use in a clinical environment where more than one patient may cool at a session.
Like the Isopro™ Portable Personal Cooling System, the Mark I also uses a Flexitherm™ head/vest garment. Mark I users are connected to a fixed control unit by umbilical hoses. The Mark I have a built-in refrigerating unit and runs on AC current. The system includes individual temperature controls for the comfort needs of each user.
Cooltemp Ice Vest Kit

The passive Cooltemp Vest
is a perfect solution for short-term duration. Cooltemp was
originally designed for the industrial worker, but easily adapts to any warm
environment. The design is lightweight, attractive, and less bulky than
other competitors. Cooltemp uses four frozen ice panels that are
inserted into the pockets to provide cooling when needed. Four panels
are needed for eash cooling session and are recharged by placing into the
freezer. The Cooltemp Vest comes complete with the vest and four ice
panels with additional sets of ice panels sold seperately.
